Does anyone know what speed cdrom's are supported? I have an A3000
with 132MB of memory that I'm trying to install with v3r1. I get
partially through the installation program when I have a 2x SCSI cdrom
attached, but then it hangs because the apparently it can't read the
cd anymore :-(

I'm trying to install Potato on a Quadra 700 (8 Mb RAM, 80 Mb internal
hard drive with A/UX Root partition 47 Mb and A/UX Swap partition 16 Mb)
using macinstall.tgz and base2_2.tgz on the Mac partition of my internal
hard drive. After I launch Penguin 18, everything goes well until I
reach Install
In what library is virt_to_phys located. It is an extern in
/usr/include/asm/virtconvert.h
How do I get the mouse to work on this system? I gather that the device
is adbmouse, but the base system doesn't seem to have gpm (if that's
the program for this architecture). Do I need a kernel module or a
package from another section of the distribution?

uses scsi devices only. Scsi devices would be named /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, etc.
On your system you would need to know how many scsi devices are installed on
your scsi controller (I believe your machine is likely to only have one sc

The readme in the m68k disks says "root.bin" doesn't work for amiga. I
suppose that means it works for atari. I suggest you write to
debian-68k@lists.debian.org and ask the developers there how to get
bootstrapped.
