Yeah, I definitely have Libc6 2.2.5-3 in my system somehow and my relese
is Potato, so I did a big no no I guess. And the part that sucks is
that I upgraded to get squirrelmail on.
Might be best just to leave it be, since everything appears to work at
present?
Sucks, for a newb like me, ther

Very straightforward. There are some changes I make to the default
install (don't like db passwords in the DocumentRoot) but the
installation and configuration process is a snap.

The Squirrelmail on Debian's website is in:
pool/main/s/squirrelmail/
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/web/squirrelmail.html

i think you had already covered that, but okay.
it seems to me that you have 3 choices:
1. upgrade to woody
2. place a few lines into your sources.list
file and upgrade all the packages needed to
install squirrelmail
3. find a different web-based email application
Or just manually install S
I installed squirrelmail, but which IMAP should I use?
Can I still keep running qpopper to provide POP3 for users on my lan (wife
and kids)? Or does IMAP conflict somehow?

SquirrelMail depends on php4, perl, and debconf. Their dependencies a

Depends. I think that woody is just as
stable (if not more so) than RedHat, but
I use potato for my server. Woody is
best for a desktop OS.
As far as the -f option go

Why do you need Perl? That doesn't make any
sense. It is written in PHP4...
apt-get install squirrelmail
(==timothy==)
this mess.
Is it normal to have to update half of your packages to Testing packages
to get SquirrelMail installed?
Thanks

I like SquirrelMail. It has lots of extra features.

Check out squirrelmail (squirrelmail.org) It's very stable and I consider it
to be feature-rich. Additionally, it has a plugin interface with several

Anyone have any ideas on what is the best Web Based email application.
I was using Neomail, but it’s just too plain, is there anything with more options, etc, something more like Outlook Web Access 2000 in an open source alternative.
Thanks
