I have recently installed Debian on my box. I am able to install
php4/apache/mysql. I have also installed thru apt-get
firebird-super-server. Now I'd like to have it configured with PHP
thru php4-interbase. On the other hand, i'm having some problems.

I didn't see any packages for it, but in CPAN there is a DBD-Interbase
module you could probably look at.

Não sei se tem alguém aqui que trabalhe com o interbase SS no debian, mas eu
notei algo interessante. Vez por outra o banco caia, na verdade ele não caia,
mas os usuários não conseguiam conectar mais nele, pois se eu verificasse na
lista de processos ele ainda estava la. Isso
sei o motivo de isso acontecer também.

Estou rodando o interbase SS no woody e vez por outro o banco cai, na verdade
o banco não cai pq os processos do interbase continuam de pé, mas os usuários
não conectam mais ao banco pela aplicação.
O erro que sempre aparece no log é esse:

Para saber o q precisa fazer para o suporte ao Interbase dê uma lida
em http://br2.php.net/manual/pt_BR/ref.ibase.php lá tem todos os
requisitos e como configurar.
Para ativar o suporte InterBase, configure o PHP com

Foi mal , desculpe a gafe , dando uma olhada com mais
calma , descobri que o inetd e o xinetd estavam rodando
juntos , isto confunde o interbase resultando no erro que
enviei a lista , uma vez usando só o xinetd , o Interbase
funcionou Blz .

tar.gz o php e o apache tambem...
Foi o jeito mais pratico para instalar o
mesmo.
Coloquei interbase SS 7.0 php 4.3 e o apache 1.3.27
e funcio tudo legal.

encontrado más que una referencia en /usr/share/doc/php4/Readme.Debian
en la que dice que el soporte para Interbase está deshabilitado pero
que si se quiere se puede habilitar. Lo que no pone es como hacerlo

I just saw a post that lead me to a ZDNet article on Linux. One thing
of interest for me was the linux version of interbase that is available
for redhat. Has anyone installed this on a debian system? If so, what
configuration / version of debian is needed.
