ebian, KDE starts, the CD and CDRW are mountable, but most of
the kde configuration is screwed, and I have no tasks in the taskbar.
Minimise anything and it is gone!. Anyone know how to re-constitute the KDE
setup?
I am running KDE 3.1.2 on a 2.4.21-xfs kernel.
TIA

Running Debian 2.2 w/ kernel 2.4.1 and XFree86 4.0.2. I've
had a lot of trouble getting KDE installed and running. I
now have it limping along but everything isn't quite kosher.
First, XFree86 was loading into a default configuration
rather than starting KDE. startx calls
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xin
e it but don't know yet.
libgr: Never heard of it. I think you'll manage without.

Not really needed for debian. Check /etc/X11/window-
(which I
can't find anywhere).
It also mentioned that I would need to edit the ".xinitrc" file and
replace the window manager with the kde setup program...
- where is .xinitrc? I have found xinitrc (w/o .) - is this the same
file?
Thanks in advance!
