Hello,
I am using mgetty+sendfax on top of potato linux box. It works pretty
well (sends/recieves faxes) but sometimes (and always when I am sending
a fax to the same target fax machine) the sendfax manages to send only a
couple of pages and then fails to fetch the OK signal and hungs.

Hi,
gs is provided by gs (free) or gs-aladdin (non-free) packages.

Hi,
I want to fax with my debian 2.1 system.
Everything went well, fax queued successfully, bla, bla, bla.
But then I've got the following message.
Warning: faxrunq hasn't been run in the last 24 hours.
How can I run faxrunq.
I think when I fixed this problem I can fax with my Linux system.
But

Last month Sylvain Briole wrote about this problem that I am now also
experiencing:
bash# sendfax -x 5 -v 5551212 fax.g3
Trying fax device '/dev/ttyS0'... OK.
sendfax: cannot set fax station ID
Changing the sendfax.config value for the fax id does not seem to
matter.

Hello all,
I am runnig Debian 1.2/Linux 2.0.29/Mgetty+SendFax 1.0 and I would like to

So, I have converted a .ps file to a .g3 file using gs, and I try to send
it :
nathalie# sendfax -x 5 -v 0320137288 /home/sbriole/ISEN/fax.g3
Trying fax device

I recently installed mgetty 1.0.0-1 and it pretty well worked out of the
box with a USR 28.8 V.34 33.6 faxmodem. It even told me to put "switchbd
0" in mgetty.config when I sent it the first fax.
However, I can't sendfax back to the machine I faxed it from. I can fax to

I am able to successfully recieve data OR fax calls to my modem, with
mgetty+sendfax, but I am having problems with SENDING files. I wish to
send a TEXT file. Documentation isn't very good for the faxing part of
mgetty, and I don't see anywhere how to tell it to send a text file.

I'm trying to send faxes via either efax or mgetty's sendfax with no
success.
