La forma en que anduvo es convertir el disco a qcow2, crear un disco
secundario con el driver virtio cargar los drivers de xp y luego apagar
la maquina y cambiar el disco primario a virtio.

detalle es que desconozco como configurar el touchscreen:

Si el driver funciona correctamente y sólo quieres ajustar la pantalla
la gráfica, la aceleración sigue sin ser detectada,
por lo que no se ejecuta GNOME con aceleración. El archivo de
configuración de X:
Section Device

Option TearFree True
Option AccelMethod sna

Observen que he tenido que establecer

To the OP: I install and maintain the proprietary nvidia driver myself
w/o getting it from the repos. I'm at driver level 340.24 and everything
works like

The fglrx driver is closed source. AMD have to provide one for for each
version of X. If they haven't updated their driver, the Debian
maintainers can't provide

nVidia driver back to 327.23. I currently have 331.67 installed.
Since I refuse to use anything other than debian packages, and I am

What is the Debian package name for the driver you have installed?
Since I refuse to use anything other than debian packages, and I am
updates.
If debian-packages do not work properly (what I do not believe, as they are
well maintained), you can install the driver with Nvidia's installer file.
If you exprience with them and will then revert to the debian packages, make
sure, the Nvidia'-files are cleanly uninstalled (I mean here
