I have always manually switched under linux, and I miss that functionality when using my windows installation, as it sometimes gives me music over the headset profile, which sounds terrible. I will not say much about windows here but see if you have two devices under Sound, video and game control

I have been trying to get frambuffer bootup work in 2.6.9 without success so far. Cannot get the logo at all. Screen is blank till X starts up. I have same experience on Sid machines, one uses nv driver and the other ati. If somebody has that high resolution screen boot up working with the tux

when I try to connect to postgress using tora it always says that authentification failed, even though I can log in into database using the same username/password from other program (pgaccess), I can also see the user in pg_shadow. related Q: why does tora only include postgresql connect
