Recurro a Uds, ya que no encuentro la forma de poder instalar el famoso
Java Plugin para Netscape, he seguido todos los pasos que aparecen en la
pagina de la SUN y uno que otro manual por la web, e ingresado a canales
de IRC y mas alla de un tipico RTFM o un STFW

installer ) ces plug-ins ( application/x-java-vm ,
text/plain )...

I'm running Netscape 3.01 installed by putting the package
from netscapes site into /tmp and running the .deb from
dselect. I also installed all the jdk-* packages using
dselect, but Netscape complains that java_301 can't be
found when I hit a jave site. What do I need to do to
fix that? TIA
I installed Netscape 4.04 using the .deb wrapper and it went great.
However, when I access a page with java script, netscape dies. I remember
there being a similar problem with older versions of netscape. Is there a
fix for this with 4.x?

I've installed netscape 3.01 using the debian package netscape 3.01-4.
There's a note in /usr/doc/netscape about crashes with java that
suggests a work-around using an old version of libc (5.0.9). Where
would I fetch the old library from? Also, suggested is an old version
of libXext.so.6.0.
