Para poder escribir en discos NTFS necesitas tener instalado ntfs-3g, en ntfs puedes guardar archivos muy grandes como imagenes de DVD, etc, mayores de 3 0 4 Gigas sin problema, fat32 tiene limitaciones en cuanto al tamaño de los archivos.
