mouse in X again

Hi, obviously, I was too fast when saying, that the mouse works under X now. The problem I am facing: The second mouse button does not work. I cannot cut and paste. Is this perhaps caused by the entry "Microsoft" in section pointer of XF86Config so that XF86 thinks, I have got a 2 button mouse?
