I've installed the snmp and snmpd packages.
The problem is iog and mrtg can't get the interface properties for my network card

Hi,
I am using an up-to-date snmp/snmpd on Woody (i.e. both are version
4.2.3-2). If I do an 'snmpwalk localhost public system', it diplays
everything up to system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.9 and then
gives me a timeout. After that, snmpd stays unresponsive for a long
time. Even
RTFFAQ? Turns out that the problem doesn't occur if I specify a really
long timeout for smtpwalk. After the
'system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.9' line, it just gives me an
'End of MIB' and does not stay busy after that. So I know a
workaround, but I'd still like to know why it takes so long

Ok, I've searched the list, searched the web, and read through stuff in the

Okay i know that with the serial cable and the winblows software you can get
the ambient temperature of the room that the UPS is in. Is this possible

Hi,
after upgrading some machines to potato they refuse to answer the snmp requests
from
mrtg. I am by no means an snmp expert, I just edited 2 lines in snmpd.conf and
it worked
for slink. So I have no idea how to fix this.
I get:
SNMP Error:
