I think I found out the reason...Every X release i.e. X11RX.X has a X
server version associated with it. For example, X11R7.5 has X Server
version 1.7 and the latest X11R7.6 has X Server version 1.9 [1] which
clears the confusion.

is there any difference between "/usr/bin/X" and "/usr/bin/Xorg"? On my
debian box, /usr/bin/X is not symlink to /usr/bin/Xorg, and i can start X
server with /usr/bin/X but fail with /usr/bin/Xorg? i google it but find

Tried adding this to xorg.conf (got from a google to a WIKI on chakra projec

Unplugging and replugging the USB mouse reactivated the mouse. So I borrowed a

By the first boot you told to start X you needed to manually
issue startx.

My mouse became unusable (frozen) after the upgrade (done the debian
way, with the kernel and udev upgraded first). It would come back after
a reboot, maybe, or not. i.e.--sometimes it would work, sometimes not.
