i've taken some "screen captures" with an external camera since the normal

dynamic clock scaling was disabled. i just gave an example to what causes a
similar visual effect.
I'm not sure it's dynamic clock because i always had it disabled.
only, one time when i enabled it, i saw that it gave me a similar visual
effect like the bug I'm describing.
is there a way to sen

when i plug in an s-video line which is connected to a TV it does not get
recognized by xrandr and i can't switch with Fn4 between LVDS and VGA-0, here

normally (when i boot) the LVDS screen is set to: 1024x768 60.0
60.0* according to xrandr, but when i change it and set it to the first 60.0
Hz option it gets distorte

and stays this way too. no after effects when i use the mouse or the
keyboard.
although i watch the output display on the S-Video (tv) i get disconnected
message from xrandr.

xrandr is not able to use s-video.

to play video with overly support on LVDS (laptop) i used : xvattr -a
XV_CRTC -v 0
they didn't work on both displays simultaneously :-(

i use the first 60.0 Hz mode to fix the display ! , which normally distorts
the display.
it works only when i use the Fn keys, otherwise i use the second 60.0 Hz mode.

when i close the screen and open it (or just click on the small lid button)

i've enabled Xinerama on my laptop (Compaq Presarion 1500) and the major issue
is that the second screen (the CRT) is showing a window frame but the content
is missing. the mouse
while playing with the Xinerama extention i found out that when adding
Option "DynamicClocks" "on" to
the ati device section causes the same effect to the screen.

i'd love to try it but synaptic insists on upgrading the xorg-core to
experimental too
and it asks me to remove allot of xorg packages because of that. which i
think i need ?
is it a dependency issue for the new ati experimental driver
or i should really move to experimental xorg-core too ?

(1) Fn-F4 does not work anymore (it used to work, distorted! but working)
pressing the key combination does nothing (visually)
