Does the HABEAS test
as implemented in Declude JunkMail query the Habeas Infringers List?
If not, would we
have to set it up in global.cfg as an ipr4 test?
Could it be run just
for those emails with Habeas headers?
Information about
the Habeas Infringers List.
Does the HABEAS test as implemented in Declude JunkMail query the Habeas
Infringers List?
No -- HIL is a standard ip4r test, and can be added to any version of
Declude, by adding a line such as:
HIL ip4r hil.habeas.com 127.0.0.2 5 0
to your global.cfg file.
Note that there are
Scott,
just curious, I'm going through my fromfile, taking out multiple

Before I do this please confirm my logic. Let's say I wanted to get more aggressive
catching spam,
and was willing to risk a possible increase in false positives. Could I adjust the
IPNOTINMX default
setting of -4 in the following way?
IPNOTINMX ipnotinmx x x 0 -3

Yes, that would work
That is correct. :)
Just the @something.com and .something.com will catch it all.
YES I got something right! woo-hoo!
Thanks Scott. This Declude is soo cool.

That would be useful but in the meantime I wrote a little batch file that

What is it exactly that you do? A Weight of 7 or 17? I wish I had the
manpower to sift through all the messages.
Hopefully as SPAM blocking becomes more common, people with misconfigured
mail servers will get them fixed so whitelists are not necessary.

Need to ask. Will this be a shareware or paid add-on?

No, sorry. We don't do shareware here, although I don't know exactly how it
will be distributed yet. Our marketing department is currently doing its
evaluations. The 'real' target market is large ISPs, but we use iMail and
Declude Junkmail here, so it was an obvious 'must do'.

I'd also be interested. Porn spam is quite a
problem . . when a little old lady uses her email just to keep in touch with the
grandkids and gets "discovered" by spammers . . she tends to not be a happy
camper.

As far as people with misconfigured mail servers... That will NEVER
happen... As long as there are company's trying to save money by hiring an
incompetent admin, there will be misconfigured email servers...lol

I understand.
We weight sniffer as a 12 and block at 15. This works very well for us.

Hi John, I am pretty sure you can be assured of that. We deal with a lot of
small ISPs and hosting companies now and always try to keep value high and
expense low.
