Yep...It does seem to be getting worse. Sniffer is catching a lot, but a lot is still slipping through, due mostly to constantly changing domain names of various ages. We're just supplementing Sniffer and blacklists with internal body filters and SURBL lists, so after the first report of one slip

To get an email in smartermail to not rescan place a capital 'X' in front of the file names. Smartermail will still pickup the file and pass it to declude but when declude sees the 'X' it will not scan the email. Declude tech support gave me this little tid bit. There still is an issue with Smarte

Personal whitelists avoid this issue by checking a particular user's address book instead of using global whitelisting. Global whitelists have benefits if they are strictly managed, but personal whitelists are safer. Darin. - Original Message - From: "Dan Horne" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To:

Also, I don't like using AUTOWHITELIST because it is too easy (and intuitive) to add their co-workers on the same domain (it IS a contact list after all). This ends up causing a spam whitelist-a-thon as spam gets sent to every email address on the domain at once, then ends up whitelisted for all of

It would be much simpler to route the held mail to a junkmail mailbox, and have the users use WebMail to check it. As an added benefit, they can whitelist senders there by adding them to their contact list in WebMail. It does require Declude Pro, however, to use the ROUTE action. Darin. -
