First thing I'd suggest is you check the BIOS settings for the printer port.
Try various configurations, eg EPP ECP, and in particular check that the IRQ
if any, is not assigned to any other device.
It sounds hellova like you have a sharing problem with the hardware as the

Hi all,
has anyone used the OverlayIndex property for a TTreeNode? I am setting it
but nothing changes. I had a quick look at the VCL source code and it seems
to be doing everything properly, but still no change to the ttreeview.
Can anyone help?
Phil.
Tried it (once) some time ago with an earlier version of VB2D.
Didn't work because of the VBX's / OCX's used by the VB app were of
course not ported and VB2D did not seem to mangle the references across
correctly.
It would be cool if it did work 'Like Magic' as it would mean I would

I found this code works, and is really easy to implement...
In the Application source...
var
hMutex: THandle ;
begin
hMutex := CreateMutex(nil, False, 'OneCopyMutex') ;
if WaitForSingleObject(hMutex, 0) <> Wait_TimeOut then
begin
Application.Initialize;
...
Application.Run;
Found the key by searching in Regedit for one of the components.
If anyone else needs the info give me a yell.
Cheers,

I seem to have solved most of my problems with a Service written in D4.02,
except one.
When I logout of the server the service also shuts down. It is installed
as auto start using system account. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks, I'll enquire but my client already has a viewer now.
However they want under certain circumstances to be able to view the
image as a panel on their Delphi app. That is what i am looking for.

A while back when I last looked the most expensive (but not too bad if you
really needed it) and by far the most robust application for viewing many
formats and the technical drawings of very large file size etc. was the
Canadian product Imagenation. This was fully OLE 2 client and server before
