Hi I don't think using system icons would be a good idea : except it could be more integrated, it would break the logic behind mono/bi-chrome icons and color codes (see Mirek proposal : http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/Flat_icon_set, I personally am a supporter of this one ).

I agree, that having system based icon set only for linux will be too much effort not worth the result. We should settle for 1 universal set of icons and maybe later on have support for theme extensions. (Something similar to Personas is firefox). Also given the fact that in Citrus UI proposed
