Hi,
I read that the Symphony source code will be merged into OpenOffice.
Will LibreOffice also use that code?
Apache Licence to LGPL seems to be possible.

I'm glad that Metro/Win8 won't be supported soon.
For one thing I think this kind of Desktop is a really bad Idea and the
second thing is that I doubt, that the metro desktop will gain a
relevant user number.

It's called SmArt and works fine (only in Impress).

Hi,
I would like to make some suggestions for an Adroid UI of LibreOffice:

Maybe I can put this into the LO-Wiki, but I'm not sure if that works
with regular html-code...

There could be a more neutral "Share This" or "Add this" button.
As Facebook is "pure evil" and the opposite of "open" or "good" this
might be a controversial idea.
A Share-Link to these services should be okay in my opinion:

-Identi.ca
-Twitter
-Email this

Yes, you have to have a google account to view these files. I will
definitely not get a google account!
There are so many free file hosters out there, so it shouldn't be a
problem to upload the screenshots there, or as Hillar says upload them
directly to the Libreoffice wiki...

Hi,
my suggestion would be to have the tabs horizontally but in a toolbar
that can be activated or deactivated. If it is deactivated then other
or new documents appear in new windows, if it is activated in tabs.

Hi,
as I mentioned earlier, the main argument against ribbons is that in M$

knows if the required functions hide behind "Review", "Insert" or
"Design"...
Whereas in LibreOffice:

Hi,
I totally agree with most of what you say..
concerning this one problem you have with pasting formated web-texts I
think there is a better solution already implemented in LibreOffice.

Hi,
I think the "Motif"-version of the background looks very nice!:
The "Gradient"-version is also nice, but not as interesting.
The regular shadows are a little boring I think.

Okay, if I would get some kind of vector format SVG, PS or PDF I could
try to make a clean Inkscape-SVG out of it.
If this is not possible I can revectorize the psd-file, but that would
not be the best solution because it would be a lot of work.

Oh no,
please no such "ribbons" like in M$EUR Office!!
In my opinion the best solution is already implemented in LibreOffice
and should be improved:
