It appears that the problem is in /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/handlers
/beagle-live.py. On line 106, "file://" is added to the beginning of the
path returned by Beagle. The paths already begin with "file://", so the
result is a path like "file://file//home/user/pdf-doc.pdf".

When I removed the /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-storage-
policy.fdi file, it'd appear that the umount was sucessfully, but it was
not.

Yes, I tried a new user, left everything at the default and tried it with no
bookmarks, one and two. Still exactly the same.
Can't you reproduce it? I'll try it with the live cd, to be completely sure,
that is has nothing to do with my setup.
