I am using gutsy with compiz fusion effects enabled.
After I suspend the computer, it goes to sleep without any problem.
But after waking up I get a notification stating there was some problem
in suspending your computer
and then gnome pane
i have the same problem. the only problem with it is, i want to be able
to use the visual effects. i know, i'll just have to live without them.
but here's the strange thing:
I was using visual effects (in 7.10), and they worked just fine. I must
have done something to mess them up. The only thing
I set the CONCURRENCY=shell and the HAL problem came back. rc2.d stayed at
S12dbus this time, no S50dbus
Set CONCURRENCY=none, rebooted and HAL is working again.
The boot process is still slower than I remember in Feisty. I'll bet
there still is a tweek somewhere to fix the real problem.

realized that if I push a key while the "file" menu is activated, that
key is set as the shortcut for the highlighted action. So I must have
pushed Alt-F4 at some point while the menu was open. Sorry about that.

easily find it, at this point there's no much we can do here, since this issue
isn't exclusive of Ubuntu, but rather a bug in the connector

I am running an updated version of Ubuntu Gutsy with Compiz enabled.
When I open a picture in EOG, and press F11 to see it fullscreen, it
appears normally, with a toolbar at the top.
If I wait about 5 seconds for the toolbar to disappear, the screen

I can also verify, on a new Gutsy AMD64 install with all updates applied
as of 2007/10/29, Firefox will crash semi-instantly (you can see the
window appear, and then close out, with a "Segmentation fault (core
dumped)" message on the console.
Switching Gnome theme from "Human" to "Glossy" causes F

evolutions calendar program is way too buggy to be put to use for
