Hi Connor, The upgrade I was referring to was the upgrade to 2.6.24-17. Once I discovered the problem I rebooted and used the 2.6.24-16 kernel with the same result. So it may well be that the upgrade to the 2.6.24-17 changed the check box Hide visual feedback... I can not recall changing it
