Because of the power manager for gnome isn't loading on startup, it
causes a awkward delay in logging off or shutting down. However, if you

I meant doing nothing other than turning the computer on and walking away while
it goes through it's boot cycle. (about 1.5min on my thinkpad and p4 desktop ),
then coming back to it after 5 or more minutes have elapsed, (this probably has
something to do with the default screensaver function).
I've never seen it before, anyway. Maybe it should be there.

this was fixed.

As of today - all updates applied - I got the same error [gnome-
appearance-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in
gconf_peditor_new_tree_view()]. I think the bug should be reopened.

version be included in the Intrepid Release? I am currently testing this
