I found an issue with the window hint in the investment list window. For
an unknown reason when using the WINDOW_TYPE_HINT_DOCK hint the window
manager leaves a frame shadow after the investment list window is
closed. Changing the hint to WINDOW_TYPE_HINT_TOOLBAR resolves this
issue.

I too experience this issue in a production environment with NFS4
mounted home directories and autofs in Karmic 9.10 with all the latest
updates.
If a user logs in with GNOME and later logs out, subsequent users
attempting to log in (with GNOME, KDE, etc even terminals) experience a
hang instead.
Unable to use gdb to capture any info: gdb becomes completely
unresponsive once I have started the yelp process(es) (ie cannot issue
commands like "backtrace full", or anything else). However, before gdb
goes away permanently, I see this:

I seem to be having a similar problem. The bug already reported seems to
indicate that they are actively using a network share as part of their
library.
I use my laptop (Ubuntu 9.10) at work where it picks up one of my boss'
daughter's music shares. It doesn't connect to the share. I shut it down

music and sometimes look at the visualizations. Honestly, while looking
at them, many times they do not follow the music and do not look that
