I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 (clean install, but with old /home directory),
and discovered the following bug:
Clicking battery icon in indicator-applet menu when laptop is running on its
battery shows only remaining work time but no
Evince works fine for pdf files less than about 20 MB. However when I
opened a 23 MB file, it started eating all my RAM and swap. The memory
went upto 945 MB and then I had to restart the PC. Not even
alt+ctrl+backspace worked (it's enabled).
Pity, that the adobe reader opens the file and runs it

I think this is a poor decision. In the previous version, one scroll increased
the volume by 1 %. Now, it's 5 %, which is way too much and doesn't allow
fine-tuning of the volume. On most computers I work with, a 5 % increase in

message, the green circle state of the blink is there, but the other
state is not. I believe the other state is a little white speech
bubble. With that fix, it's just the green circle the whole time,

But that's exactly the problem, Mark. What I thought makes difference in
Ubuntu is its openness. Instead you are just trying to go the same path
as the other guys with "we know what's better for you, ignorant use
I thought I was bitten by this, but discovered I was affected by
LP#544994 instead (Rhythmbox improperly trying to open USB PTP camera).
This might be a different issue, but since it was very inobvious, make
sure Rhythmbox is not running when testing.

I've tried it here and it seems to work fine (x86-64) - although I
didn't have it previously so maybe it's an upgrade issue.
I suggest try running it from a terminal and see if it gives you any
telling errors.

Everything was fine until I ran gnome-session in terminal (I originally
wanted to run gnome-session-save) and I got an error and then dozens of
windows were generated in the task bar that I had to logout. I

everything. I had this bug already on Karmic, did an upgrade to Lucid - the bug

in karmic i'm using deskbar-applet and after the upgrade to lucid i installed
it again. but it hangs right after starting the applet and doesn't react on
