I think it has to do with the gnome-control-panel... For some reason
when it comes back after "turn off" it keeps the back light set to 0...
But it does not do it with suspend where it restores the screen

and they remain enabled after restarting Totem. I checked the python

Can we please backport this patch to natty? The patch is likely to apply
cleanly to the gnome 2.x codebase as well.

the opensubtitle plugin was:

I then tried to start Nautilus from an open shell and got the following:

The patch that was posted in the gnome bug 661118 actually makes transfers
possible again.
Sent the patched vertion to my ppa:rye/ppa which should have the packages built
in an hour.
