I no longer have this problem.
Now, when I type the info in the form I CAN see it and when I advance to
the next field on the form the info in the previously completed field is
still visible and can be save and/or printed as a completed form.

I confirm that the bug affects nemo, too -- so presumably the root cause
is not in nautilus. I am hit by the bug right after upgrading to 14.04
from 13.10.
I can reproduce the error with the following scenario:
start nemo
press shift-ctrl-n to create a folder. A new folder with 'Untitled Folder'

Further to the test case in comment #8, you can reproduce the bug under
valgrind too (hence comment #9). Beware however that only triggers the
issue if you run _sufficiently_little_ clients so that performance is
still reasonable. So for me instead of 30+ egltriangles on valgrind I
use only 7 of

I am using gnome-keyring-daemon with ssh-agent capability which broke with the
keyring-daemon 3.10.1-1ubuntu4.1.
After downgrading to gnome-keyring=3.10.1 SSH_AUTH_SOCKS is again correctly
exposed to the keyring location.

The above comment didn't work for me. It seems in Ubuntu 14.04, Nautilus
uses GTK-3.0 and in 3.0 they moved away from the gtkrc files and use
settings.ini files in various locations.
