The version of gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng (DING) shipped in Ubuntu
24.04 is 47.0.9.
Support for Gnome 46, has been added on 47.0.10.

No problem. Since the OP hasn't declared a result here, we can just say
verification failed and keep the bug open. Since the fix came from the
upstream release 46.2 there would be no code change in doing so. Just a
change to the bug status and documentation at most. So I don't expect
this to block

I still have the bug as well. It just randomly decided to start doing it
again an hour or so ago. The problem with logging out after installing
the packages is that you can't really test if that fixed it since
logging out and back in is what you do to temporarily work around the

I can confirm there are no known LP bugs fixed in 46.3, gnome-shell or
mutter. So you can use that as a reason to not mention any LP bugs, or
