how to reproduce:
1. open firefox
2. browse to a location where you can download large (>25kb) textfiles
(content-disposition: attachment -> you'll be asked what to do with this file)
3. a window pops up, asking how to proceed (save as or open with
My Version: Ubuntu 7.10
I'm not the network administrator, but I assume that there is:
- a samba fileserver accessible through smb for windows/linux/mac
- a ssh-server mounting the samba-filesystem and making it accessible through
sftp.
What I did:
- Connect to the ssh-server using the "connect

If a (virtual) filesystem has an other charset than the default,
Nautilus displays a message saying that it's not valid unicode. That's
ok, but not very helpful. Instead, I'would prefer a possibility to
specify the charset.
