I just noticed for me the other applets are also running slow. For
example I have Tomboy Notes and when I opened the Manage Notes window I
noticed that it's menus were acting slow too. Therefore I think all
these things are linked. The GUI interface (not sure what it is) eg gtk,
qt... is the thing
I have the .gtkrc-2.0 tweak but the problem still exists. I don't think
the tweak has any effect at all on the problem. As a side effect do you
notice the right click menus being slow to load as well?
