AC power is connected and I just close my laptop lid and after I open it
the brightness is in power saving mode and fn+brightness up doesn't work
too, the only way to turn brightness up is to use brightness panel
applet.

I just had similar problem. My town (Latvia - Ventspils) isn't included
in that timezone list, so I tried to set the latitude and longitude
manually, but I muff them and after save weather was wrong. So I opened
it for editing and corrected the data, but after save nothing changed. I
