I know it's probably no consolation to you but I was experiencing the
same issues and was concerned about the fact that it never seemed to
sync data locally like it said it should. I tried all sorts of different
hacks and attempts to get it working. The only thing that worked was
purging evolution
Can I please ask what version you have that has the issue fixed? I have
3.2.3 installed in precise and there are no updates available in the
backports or proposed. And the issue is still present.

System goes to hibernate or suspend even when set to Don't suspend

Noticed this a few days ago. I've tried a few different combinations of
settings and couldn't get it to stay on. One thing I noticed was that
when I set the screensaver to Never the screen dimming takes affect
about 1-2 seconds after you stop doing anything. I would not be so
annoyed by this,
I stumbled upon this issue when attempting to work around the suspend
bug (system always suspends even when told not to). So, +1 from me.
Also, noticed that when the setting in question is set to Never it
also makes text input nearly impossible due to the screen continually
going dark.

other USB devices attached to a USB hub. However; I just got the crash
again after booting and do not have any USB devices attached at all.

After the most recent update, the networking failed to load on boot. On
selecting Network from System Settings nothing happenened except the
Network icon highlighting briefly. Selecting Displays, Appearence, and
other selections in the System Settings; resulted in the panel

was caused by Bug #855171 ; however I would suspect that the rest of the
bug with the continuous restart, and not being able to access the other
settings from the system settings of the Control Center is a different

When switching from list view to icon view visual corruption of

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Yes I know that prefixing a . to a
name makes it a hidden file. However, I have nautilus set to view hidden
files so my complaint is not that the file disapears and I can't open
it. The bug that occurs prevents the use of ENTER or DOUBLE-LEFT-CLICK
from being
