[Bug 1061195] Re: Can't create EWS or MAPI account

2012-10-20 Thread Marc Baas
I can confirm this bug. In my case relogging/rebooting doesn't do a thing though. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 x64. Pop email works fine, but with my Gmail account that is configured for IMAPX, it doesn't show up. When I go to the configuration files in my /home dir, it looks as if all data is

[Bug 203877] Re: Hardy: gconf-editor changed settings ignored by system

2008-04-18 Thread Marc Baas
I'm just updating this one as a reminder: The way Hardy is now, I still cannot select the VLC player to be my default player upon entry of a video DVD. We are at RC stage now and this issue has still not been addressed. Can you guys please look into this one, it affects a lot of people since

[Bug 191475] Re: [hardy] media tab in file management preferences missing applications

2008-04-18 Thread Marc Baas
As much as I appreciate reassuringlyoffensive's attempts to find a proper workaround (you know me from the forums as kivech), doesn't it make more sense to just add the VLC player to the list of possible DVD players in Nautilus? We are in RC already and this discussion has been going on for over

Ok, I'd like to confirm this problem as well. I'm having this problem with the VLC player. I want to set it as my default DVD player, but it is not listed in the drop down list. So at this point I cannot have VLC be my default player upon insertion of a movie DVD. -- [hardy] media tab in file

Right, then why isn't VLC listed as a possible application to launch upon entry of a DVD player? The only options I have in Nautilus are: 1) Open Movie Player 2) Open Folder 3) Do Nothing 4) Ask what to do. Which gives a list of the 3 previous ones. So, how do I define VLC (or any other

So does this mean that ignored settings in gconf-editor are considered a bug or not? Sorry if I came off harsh, but it seems to me that I was not the one bringing up other tools or options. To reply to your statement that there are some applications that don't show up in the (new) nautilus tab:
