I do not get Nautilus to crash with ANY zero length file like:
1. touch test, touch test.doc, touch.ppt...
2. open directory that contains these zero length test files -- no
crash
But if filename (extension) makes file to be media type then crash
happens.

I have noticed that nautilus crash is related to the thumbnailing
process that causes nautilus to crash when trying to process 0 lenght
.flv file.

over SMB, because Nautilus do not show thumbnails by default on remote
folders.nn

The bug is still issue on Natty. I just deleted few weeks ago my Default
keyring with all keys and changed default to be login keyring (e.g now
all my passwords for example to the wifi are grouped under login
keyring, not under Default -keyring.).

I have two installations of 10.10 (i386 Acer AOD250 and amd64 DELL D630)
which suffer of the same bug. Only difference is that Maverick doesn't
offer any Automatically unlock this keyring whenever I'm logged in
