When you hover over a link to see the URL, which displays in a tooltip
at the bottom of the window, the background is transparent, which means
it's usually unreadable.

I still get this bug often on first login. I have to log out and back in
to fix it. I have no problems pinging localhost.

I've been making heavy use of the memory slots in gcalctool and found it very
useful that they were persistent even after closing it. After upgrading to
Maverick, the ability to store results in memory slots is gone.

They were usually something like:

It appears this issue is no longer occurring though.

Well, I created a file in my home directory (which is where I produce
this in my test) without issue, and I couldn't reproduce it in the new
file. It seems to just be with any already existing file from before
upgrading to 8.10.
I don't seem to get this issue at all when I run gedit as root.

When saving a modified text file, it complains that it cannot make a
temporary backup of the existing file (don't know why), warns about
potential data loss, and asks if I want to save anyway. This shouldn't
happen anyway as I have temporary backups

Before, when it was kept synchronized, if I ran ntpdate to synchronize it
would exist saying the NTP socket is in use. Now ntpdate succeeds in
synchronizing and the clock is often off by 5-20 seconds. When I go back
into the time admin the checkbox for keeping the clock synchronized is no
longer ch
