This worked for me even though the 1st command returned the notice that
I had already got libdvdread4 installed.
I ran the 2nd command regardless and was able to copy DVD without error
after this.

I get the error "please install the following libraries manually -
libdvdcss.so.2" - twice when trying to burn DVD copies. Is this related
to the issue discussed in this thread? I have manually updated these
libraries and it makes no difference to the error and the application
completely fail

I also have this problem and tried to subscribe to track a fix however
clicking the Subscribe button does nothing.
How can this be a minor issue when you canot read any Floppy disks no
matter how I try to open?

In Ubuntu 9.10 in file explorer I can see my CD Rom drive and open and
read data disks however if I put in an Audio Disk it is like the actual

I have the same problem with 9.10 as well as CD ROm unmounting when you
put in a Audio Disk. The CD reads data disks OK but the floppy reads no
