This does still happen in Maverick. The screenshot attached shows the
discrepancy between the actual page shown in Evince, and the print

No, on the first page there are three columns. One columns displays fine

Hello,
I use the system with Apple AirPort Extreme. The same hardware is
working reliably under Win XP.
With Ubuntu, my wireless connection drops almost every day. It happens
at random times and I cannot pinpoint what's causing the problem.
Usually I find it disconnected
I removed gnome-screensaver and installed xscreensaver. That does not
have this bug. I still use gnome-power-manager to suspend my computer as
xscreensaver only has power managment for the monitor.

Duplicate status is wrong.
One of the problems here, and in some other bugs marked as duplicates,
is that Yelp is being used for About Ubuntu, not that Yelp is slow.
These need to be marked as WONTFIX if

Two of the bugs marked as duplicates of this bug should be reopened and
reassigned to the package responsible for the System menu which contains
the item About Ubuntu, because that item does not need to open the help
browser. It could instead open an About dialog - like every other About
menu
I have this problem with at least GIMP, Metacity or Mutter, and Nautilus
or Nautilus Elementary.
When I first double-click an XCF file and GIMP is not running, then GIMP
starts and its windows are raised and focused. If I then go to a folder
and open another XCF file - with GIMP still running -
I can confirm this bug, even after all this time. It drives me
absolutely bonkers and causes all sorts of problems for me. I moved the
SSH off of Nautilus and it got a bit better, but I observe the exact
same behavior when I'm connecting to FTP servers with Nautilus' ftp://

learning new things. This is too often forgotten and in fact there are
university classes in the US devoted to slavish memorization of

I've noticed only one mention of the disappearance of the system menu,
also called the window menu or the application menu. It's the one that
shows when you click the application icon in the frame, right-click the
frame, or press Alt+Space. To maximize a window, I usually use
