Thank you for the quick reply! I tried rebooting and now the problem seems
to be fixed. I've tried opening the same documents, opening a copy like I
did before (Nelson2.dvi - Nelson2.dvi-0), but I can't reproduce the
problem. Before I rebooted, it was the same problem with all documents,
pdf's,

I am using emacs for editing a TeX-file. I use evince to view the
resulting dvi-file. Whenever I run LaTeX on the TeX-file from emacs,
evince takes the focus and gets on top of emacs, so I can't see what
I'm writing. I the taskbar, emacs is still
