By the way, one odd little detail. When I run brasero from the terminal,
encountering this flac problem, the only error reported is this:

That doesn't really fix the problem any more than my using k3b does.
Brasero should always be able to burn a flac music file to an audio
disc, especially if k3b can do it. It's flac... it's not some bizarre
proprietary Sony DRM format. This is ridiculous.

Evolution freezes my system up completely (except the cursor, I should
say.) It doesn't happen when evolution first launches, but only when I
go to "Contacts" and try selecting a specific contact (any specific
contact, rather). I'm attaching the trace I produced following the debug

The Gnome aspect to this is, of course, annoying and deplorable and I'll
never understand their logic or motivations. However, it would be nice
to pick which Pictures folder is to be used. "Pictures" could include
one's porn collection, which is then being broadcast to your co-workers

mine, but the problem is not just with launcher icons on the top panel,
in case that was not yet brought up by someone else. I constantly have

On my computer at work, I have always simply upgraded to the newer
version of Ubuntu. Therefore, my login sound at least, still works. What

My apologies... My new HP printer will not print anything at all if the
ink cartridge is below a certain point, so my pages were coming out
blank, instead of spotty or greying out. Anyhow, I'm not used to it, and
I thought Acrobat was to blame. Not so. Once again, my apologies.

I set "enabled=1" in /etc/default/apport and restarted. I then launched
rhythmbox via a terminal and reproduced the same procedure, pressing
help from within Preferences. It crashed, but so far as I can tell, no
crash report was generated. Where would I find it? There is nothing in

1) Gnome image apps, like gthumb, never open maximized so as to give the
biggest possible view of an image;
2) Gthumb's viewer window loses the space battle with it's system data and
comment windows.

I hope it's not too late to comment on this. I'm on Jaunty. I wandered
back to my computer at work the other day to find it flashing scans of
cleared checks, the member roster from my union Local, and member tax
forms. Not cool.
