My laptop (HP nx7400) is also affected in gutsy at the moment (26-9-2007). I
resolved it by deleting "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" and restarting X.
The only problem is that after i got no mouse scrolling and keyboard is in us
layout instead of italian.

I have also a similar problem. In past Gutsy beta releases all fonts
were huge, but in the daily release of 2007-09-22 only some window fonts
have this problem, as can be seen in the attached image. This problem
disappears if I switch off graphics desktop effects, and it won't
reappear even if I sw
