As per the screenshot in comment #1, I'm also seeing this using the
Adwaita theme in a GNOME session rather than an Ubuntu session. Easy to
reproduce using Tweaks to move the Titlebar buttons from Right to Left.
I think the bug being described is that buttons should be paced on the
extreme left as

That's weird. For me the close button is in the top right corner as
expected.
