As per the screenshot in comment #1, I'm also seeing this using the Adwaita theme in a GNOME session rather than an Ubuntu session. Easy to reproduce using Tweaks to move the Titlebar buttons from Right to Left. I think the bug being described is that buttons should be paced on the extreme left as
