Again! ... that extension is bogus and outdated. please use the ubuntu
prism package instead.
I think the problem is not with Firefox, but Prism, I have version 0.8
I had the standalone application installed with few preset Web apps from
Ubuntu repository and it still crushed and after that all my applications
failed to start (that means the same problem I had with the Extension). Most
pro
extension does not.

I also had the bug: when a download is completed, Firefox would crash. I
desactivated the Prism extension and now it works fine.
