I've just updated Lucid Lynx 10.04 alpha 2 to poppler - 0.12.3-0ubuntu1.
I can confirm that the attached PDF file now displays correctly.

Supposedly this is the same bug as freedesktoop bug 16906
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16906 (also originally
reported through launchpad) although it certainly doesn't look like it.
Pedro - are you able to compile from git and test? I lack the knowledge
and experience to do so.
