I've asked at the Nautilus maillist and it turns out that Nautilus is already using stat64(). What's most likely causing these blank dialogues is that Nautilus is blocking the main thread. We would be most grateful if anyone could obtain a backtrace of this bug happening. There is a wiki page ex

Just a suggestion: check the filesize and test if the bug is triggered with filesizes between 2 and 4 gigas, 6 and 8, 10 and 12 and so on. If that's the case, then the problem can be because nautilus is using STAT instead of STAT64. I had a similar problem some time ago and is was due to that. --
