I thought of that, but it's going to remove all the _other_ libs that
f-spot gets from that line; namely *all* of them.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400, and I confirm this bug after a day of
debugging gnome-power-manager. Both gnome-power-manager and the
kernel/BIOS/something-that-is-not-gnome-power-manager try to change the
brightness when I press the brightness keyboard keys.

Ah, I think I found the problem then, unmarking it is not saved because
gedit core-dumps every time you close it. So it probably doesn't save
the preferences because of the core-dump then.
This should be fixed as soon as the core-dump is fixed.

I made a mistake looking on my system. The libv4l I receveid in last
updates it's the 0.5.7-1~intrepid1 version who take place of
0.5.6-1~intrepid1.
So, It's solved for me with the 22 Gen 2009 updates for
- Cheese 2..24.1-0ubuntu1
- libv4l-0 0.5.7-1~intrepid1
This bug still occurs for me today...

In the attached screenshot (usr-share-vnc.png) nautilus shows the contents of
/usr/share/vnc after "flipping the triangles". When I then do File > New Window

my conclusion is that gnome power manager can:
notify change events to the user (brightness bar) (ok here)
dim the screen after a period of inactivity, if user wishes so. (and set it
back the previous level) (probably ok too, when the xrandr issue is fixed)
and must not:
1: use xrandr
2: set brig

still ignores the option "-j" to extract ".jpg". It always extracts
