1. Some applications, like evince, do not render the attached document fine,
some character groups are replaced with strange characters.

My testing was done newly installed 10.10 in the form of VMWare virtual

On the 10.10 64 bit VM I removed the remnants under /etc/init.d/nfs*. I
then rebooted it and ran shares-admin. This time when I clicked
"Install services" I was prompted for my password.

a. Ubuntu 10.10 NE - gnome-power-manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 - Asus eee 1001px
b. Ubuntu 10.04 32bits Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 -
Asus eee 1001px
c: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0u
Hi, this looks like a gnome-power-manager bug rather than a pm-utils
one. Please kill gnome-power-manager, and then get the output of "gnome-
power-manager --verbose" while reproducing this bug.
