The font configuration thing may well be a matter for the fontconfig
package, so I add a fontconfig task.
Keyboard layout settings are handled via the gnome-control-center
package. In System Settings -> Keyboar

attempt or try, ubuntu always thinks the nexus 7 is about dead.

(alsamixer, aplay -l, and lspci | grep Audio) and their outputs:

be a common symptom).

Still an issue with 13.04, I think this is another issue with Gnome
dumbing everything down, rather than Canonical deliberately changing it,
the same as with the file manager... but Canonical really need to get a
handle on this it's a huge pain.

Those user-space programs already stop at /run - which is a tmpfs and
can be stat'd. The issue is solved for all practical purposes that I am
aware of.

after upgrading one of my machines from 12.10 to 13.04, emacs does not
start any more, unless i specify -nw to launch in console mode. the
