Found it. It has been intergrated into appmenu. I forgot Unity was using
QT. Just remove appmenu-qt and appmenu-qt5, but this will completly
disable all of the global menus.

I installed and confirmed printer on home server using SAMBA. Printer
works with windows computers attached to network. I tried connecting to
that printer though Ubuntu 13.10. It found the printer on the network,
but when I went to test print, it crashed.

I now have 2 laptops to try on & currently both get the interactive screen in
an ubuntu session. That being said some other expected behavior concerning
power like laptop lid close, initiating shutdown & closing lid before complete,
ect. do show different behaviors, some incorrect.

Came to this bug with same symptoms, Ubuntu 12.10 on Dell XPS M1330 with
Intel graphics(Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics
Controller) - intermittently the screen would freeze, but usually I had
control of the mouse still but couldn't click on anything, also couldn't
CTL+ALT+F
