Hey Folks,
Apologies for this bug and having let it sit for so long. It's
unfortunate that Sam left working on Compiz before having this bug
resolved. Based on his
Public bug reported:
I have a piano and a laptop. I use a jack - jack cable to send sounds
from piano to my laptop. I can hear the piano sounds in my laptop
without problems, but I cannot record them. The laptop internal
microphone is recorded instead.
What can I do to solve the problem?

I'm seeing this now too in 14.04. Sam message in the auth.log file.
I'm doing AD authentication, was working fine, ran a dist-upgrade, and
now AD authentication broken. Any suggested fix? I don't have
pam_kwallet package installed and it is looking for the .so?
Thanks,
Ed
