Public bug reported:
My current problem with sound is that my headphones are partially muted.
Sound is drowned and some channells are completely muted even when I turn up
the volume.
So to listen to music I have to halfway plug-out the headphones plug.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.0
I can confirm that this behavior happens on Firefox 24, Ubuntu 13.10
32-bit as well.
It's not a major problem or anything (I can restore it by selecting it
with Ctrl+A or simply clicking/moving the cursor over the textbox), but
it's a little annoying since it happens very frequently.

Unfortunately, this also is not helping.
I got the same results as Josir, but attempts to use "sudo dpkg -r
$PACKAGE" failed. I then used "apt-get remove libreoffice*", which did
remove all libreoffice* stuff except libreoffice-base. Removing that is
not possible, neither with apt-get nor with dpk

This seems to be a continuation of bug #550047.
I have a Dell MS111-type USB optical mouse, and when I move the mouse
the curor jumps, and sometimes click-drags.
The output of xev reports multiple ButtonPress/ButtonRelease pairs for
buttons 4, 5 and 6. Example:
MotionNotify
I tried to use apport-collect here, but it told me to use apport-bug.
