gnome-terminal randomly refuses input
I found a fix for network and sound card. There have been several kernel
updates in the past week or two, but all things combined gave nothing to
initial problem.
After resume from suspend, videos often show just black, with sound
playing (using xv output). gl output gives picture but it flickers
I can confirm that this problem still exists with Kubuntu 14.04 and a
Samsung B2710.
Using the fix from comment #3 works.

If you have nautilus installed this becomes a problem because firefox
wants to use dbus engine. Firefox apparently uses the dbus engine first
to launch org.freedesktop.FileManager1 which nautilus is currently the
only app that gets launched/used this way. You have to install your own

Looks like Google updated their key. This fixed it for me...
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 7FAC5991
That command will pull the key from the keyserver again.

Sometimes it fails after updateing the key... If I try a few more
times, it works. It looks like Google is having key problems. Perhaps
one server in the load balanced cluster is broken.

nvidia-prime comes with lightdm which in turns brings lots of GTK deps
and brakes SDDM

I tested again with 14.04.2 version. Nouveau drivers works normally but
nvidia proprietary drivers still fallen off bus. the kernel is 3.16,

I have my home under /home/, it is just on a different partition. I face
the same issue with evince.
Executing sudo dpkg-reconfigure apparmor does not solve the problem for
me. I passed /home/ and /home/user/ but it doesn't work. Any

About the status bar, I would recommend to consider dropping it as in OS
